Sai Smruti Kala Kendra
Sai Smruti Kala Kendra, an Institution registered under Trust, Khordha Jurisdiction, is a unique cultural organization dedicated to protect the legacy of Padma Bibhushan Guru Kelu Charan Mohapatra’s Gharana, which was established for performing arts under the leadership and able guidance of Guru Rajashree Jena, M.A. in Odissi Dance from Sangeet Kala Maha Vidyalaya. It was established in the year 2001 to create a cultural space to teach Odissi Dance to young kids. The organization is now grown into a premier socio cultural organization through its commendable success in achieving the objectives of promoting and enriching the Odissi Culture. Till date more than 600 students are being trained under the guidance of Guru/ Mentor Rajashree Jena.
Objectives of the Institution
Being an Institution of incomparable credibility imparting Odissi dance as well as Folk, Creative dance and music, it’s major aim is to provide intensive training to young talents for promotion of art, culture and rich heritage of Odisha. Major objectives of this organization Sai Smruti Kala Kendra is to preserve, propagate and develop the classical dance form Odissi, Odissi Music, as well as to promote various other dance forms by providing much guided training to the budding and promising young talents. In order to attain the aim and objectives , the organization emphasizes on the training to be based on proper exposure and execution of the talents of each and every student. This organization sincerely aims at making the education on performing arts easily available to each and every young talent, so that they should not remain veiled due to lack of scope.
